Birthday and BEA 3

What’s Going on?

Today we are celebrating Makari’s birthday!!  He’s FIVE years old and let me tell you that I just can’t believe it!  I swear we just picked him up at the airport and drove him home about a week ago.  Hardly, but I suppose a mom to any furry or four-legged baby feels the same.

As of today I have a 5, 6,7 and 8 year old!  That will only last a week because next week we celebrate Simon’s birthday.

Also this week many of my fellow bookish friends are at BEA 2016.  BEA (Book Expo America) is in Chicago this year  and I’m green with envy!  All the swag…the books…the author signings…sigh.  Maybe next year.

Instead, I’m participating in the broke gal’s version – Armchair BEA which is a way for book bloggers and publishers to connect through blog posts, twitter meet ups and live chats.  Today is our introductory post.

Getting to Know You Q & A

What is the name you prefer to use?
 Lisa
How long have you been a book blogger?
Reviewer for a year and blogger for a few months
Have you participated in ABEA before?
No
What is your favorite genre and why?
Mystery/Thriller – I love the fast pace and unpredictability
If you could recommend one other book blogger, who would it be and why?
Patty at Patty A Day With Me– she’s a great friend, fellow cat lover and suggested I book review/blog
What book are you most excited for on your TBR? What are you most intimidated by?Right now, I’m most excited to dive into June by Miranda Beverly-Whittemore.  Nothing Scary on my shelf at the moment
If you could choose three characters to have lunch with, who would they be and why?
Great question!!  Hmmmm… Eve Dallas from the In Death Series because she’s a total bitchin’ badass.  Winnie-the-Pooh because I find him unexpectedly insightful and there would be lunch. Jay Gatsby because I love that he was such a poser.
Hope all those at BEA are having a FABULOUS time!  Thanks to those stopping by – leave a comment and say HI!
