It’s Monday… 5 comments

What’s Going On…

It’s Monday again!  I’m late – but it’s still Monday.  I’m checking in with the IMWAYR hosted by Kate over at The Book Date.  If you’re not sure what it’s all about or you’d like to join in go check out Kate’s blog.
Little Girl Lost

This Monday I’m in the middle of Little Girl Lost.  I’m half way in and I’m still not sure about this one.  It’s not bad by any means but I’m not in love with it.  There is a lot going on – lots of characters and it’s a bit hard to keep them all straight.  It’s about two women, sort of, and each one has her own story.  Some how these women and their respective people and lives are going to come crashing together.  Things are starting to fall into place and make some more sense however it’s a slow read and I’m always surprised when a thriller type novel feels slow.

joThis week I’m not only reading but I’m writing also. I bought my new fancy fountain pen but quickly realized that in the computer driven world – people just don’t write that much.  I’ve always been a list maker and I just like the feel of putting pen to paper.  So I went out and purchased a journal.

I’ve never really kept a diary – a brief period around middle school but nothing really to speak of.  It kind of goes against the thinking of don’t put in writing what you don’t want anyone to see.  Isn’t that the entire point of a journal?  So I struggle with this.  I don’t foresee any dark secretes being put in m there. More likely it will serve as an old fashioned personal blog.

The weather today and for the next two is unseasonably nice.  Simon and I took advantage by having a short walk with his stroller.  He still loves it so much!  I’m so glad I bought it for him last year.

I got two videos shot for the You Tube channel.  But my brain just absolutely died and I don’t know if I’ll be able to edit my way out.  Here’s to hoping I don’t have to re-do.

That’s all for me for today!

I love writing, too…I keep an 8 by 12 daily date book on my desk in the kitchen…it’s always covered with notes and thoughts and ideas and lists! I love lists!

You are definitely not alone, Lisa; I LOVE putting pen to paper! No matter which app I try, or system for lists, or whatever, nothing feels as good as writing things down. I started using the Bullet Journal method last year and, even though I’m not 100% consistent with it, I do enjoy the freedom of putting anything down that suits me and still having a way to maintain/organize it all. Good for you!
