Book Signing – Meet Brad Parks 2

 What’s Going On…

I waited to write up today’s post because I knew I would want to share this afternoon’s events. I attended my first book signing today!  I know, sad for a book blogger  but a ton of people don’t make their way down to my neck of the woods.  But when I heard that Brad Parks was going to be relatively close by – I made plans to attend his event.

As you know, I read and loved his book Say Nothing.  It’s been out in stores for a month now and I highly recommend you pick it up.  I saved my official review to post along with the local tour stop.

Say Nothing is Brad’s 7th book, however it’s the first novel from him that I’ve read.  After finishing it I immediately wanted to read his previous novels – which are a series that follows investigative reporter Carter Ross.  I can say, after meeting Brad, that I want to read his other books even more!  He is such a charismatic and likable person.   On a fun note – he could have had a nice little career on Broadway if he had decided not to do this whole author thing.  He is quite the crooner!  I’m enamored and will forever be a fan.

I was  glad to hear that he’s already written his next book, another stand alone novel, that will be out next Spring.

I received this book for free from in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Readers of thriller/ mystery books - make room on your bookshelves. Say Nothing is the newest novel from Virginian author Brad Parks and it’s all too fitting that this is lucky number seven in his line up.

I’m a long time fan of the legal thriller. John Grisham is arguable one of my all time favorite authors. I have to say I’ve been living under a rock because I had never read anything by, or even heard of Brad Parks. The winner of several prizes for crime fiction, Brad Parks is hardly a little known author and yet - his books had escaped my radar.

Federal Judge Scott Sampson has the biggest case he’ll ever hear on his docket. The only problem is that he has no idea which case it is. But it’s important enough that someone has kidnapped his children to ensure they get what they want.

Struggling with a plan of action, Judge Sampson and his wife agree to comply with the kidnappers and keep quiet until they know more. But how do you hide the fact that your children have been taken? You can’t. Eventually, people become aware of the situation and everything starts to spiral out of control.

With the tension ratcheted up to ten, you’ll churn through pages like your life depends on it. Filled with more twists and turns than a country back road you will never see what lies ahead in Say Nothing.

After reading Say Nothing I only had one thought in my head - I have to read everything else Brad Parks has written. After this one book, I’m going to be a fan for life.

If you haven’t yet – check out the Sassy Cat Chat book tube channel – we announced the winner of our first giveaway today!  I’m excited for more fun things in the future.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
