What’s Going On…
Hi guys! It’s Monday and today I’ll be doing the IMWAYR tag. I don’t do this every week, but I do my best to participate.
If you don’t know what the heck I’m talking about…
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! Visit Kathryn at the Book Date to participate.
This Monday I’m reading Slightly South of Simple by Kristy Woodson Harvey. I think it’s the first book in what will be a small series called The Peachtree Bluff Series. Can’t wait for the follow up books! I don’t do a lot of “chick lit” but this one is really good and I’m so glad I was tempted by my fellow bookish bloggers to grab it! It’s light and fun and not too romancy. I need something to break up all the tense thrillers I read and Slightly South of Simple has been the perfect choice!
Okay so Bookish Things! Dewey’s 24 readathon is coming up! Are you participating? I would love to but I really hate that these things fall on Saturdays. Weekends just don’t work for me! I need a weekday readathon! Who’s up to get that started?
Next is Bout of Books 19. I really hope to be able to participate in this one. It’s a week long reading event held on May 8 – 14. I’m waiting to see what the hubby’s business travel plans are before I sign up but I’m hoping to join in the fun!
If you are participating in any of these then you must be looking for new books! Go check out my latest You Tube video about my March Reads – I’m sure you’ll find something to add to your Readathon list!
We are having some rainy days here, which I don’t really mind. I’m looking to spend some time cuddled up with some hot tea and lovely reads. The rainy removes any guilt I have about not being outside weeding my flowerbeds 🙂
Have a wonderful week!
Glad to hear you enjoyed and loved Slightly South of Simple. It’s a new book by a new author to me but it sounds great. I want to participate in Dewey’s 24 Readaton. I’m mostly off on saturdays, so I think it’s perfect.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading, Lisa.
I don’t do the Readathons. Weekends are family time. This coming weekend I’ll be in Marin and San Francisco for my daughter’s bridging ceremony. It was a busy week of reading, Girl Scouts, the Mandarin Showcase, and boxing up books. Come see what I’m reading.
