Wednesday Thoughts on Books 3

What’s Going On…

WWW Wednesdays

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. It’s open for anyone to join in and is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.  The three W’s are:

What are you currently reading?

I’m about half way in on this one and the jury is still out.  It’s not bad – but it’s not great.  I’m just not really able to get invested in these characters or their story.  This is definitely a YA book full of young teen drama.

What did you recently finish reading?

slightly south of simple

This was so amazing!  I don’t read tons of women’s fiction.  It’s usually too sappy and romance filled for me.  This one was none of those things.  Yes, it’s a family drama with some long lost love stuff going on but it’s neither sappy or too romancy.  It was just right on all fronts. I am so glad to have read this and I can’t wait for the other books in this series.

What do you think you’ll read next?

anything is possible

I have a few books that publish in April left on my calendar to get to.  Obviously, I will not read like five books in four days.  So this one looks promising (and short) so it’s the winner of the ‘next up’ award.

In non-bookish goings on – the rain has finally stopped.  But it’s very cloudy and dreary out still.  I’m waiting on the sunshine.  I did try to get out and do some yard work.  God I’m so behind this year!  But I just haven’t been feeling it.  Plus – we have these awful little biting gnats that swarm out of the dirt as soon as you touch anything.  They are so nasty.  I have to figure out what the hell they are and how to be rid of them before I can weed and plant.  I just can’t stand the bugs!!

Chores.  Chores seem to be endless and some weeks I do better than others keeping up.   This has not been a week of keeping up.  I have some laundry to get to at the very least.  The vacuum is feeling very neglected as well.

That’s all for me!  Have a wonderful Wednesday!!
