It’s Fall Ya’ll!! 2

What’s Going On…

Autumn Leaves

I cannot possibly express how happy I am for our cool temps this week.  I know they are not likely to last long – and we’ll be freezing before we know it.  But for right now, I’m happy!

I am not really one to do a lot of seasonal and holiday decorating.  The Sassy Cat crew is partially responsible for my lack of Knick-Knacks but truly I’m just too lazy.  However, I do like to put out a few things especially on my front porch.  So I need to get on the task of finding some fall flowers and maybe a wreath or something for outside.

Not much going on this week, at least that I know of.  I do have Zumba with my mom tomorrow.  We are really enjoying that!  We go just once a week right now but I need to figure out the best day for me to get to a second class.  My only other options are Thursday evening – which hello, is so not happening or bright and early for a 9 a.m. class.

In Book News..

I read a truly awesome book last week!  Brad Parks’ upcoming spring novel, Closer Than You Know, is one I was really, really looking forward to getting my hands on.  Andi (my editor friend) did not let me down and as soon as this little baby showed up on her desk she packed it up and sent it straight to my door.  It did not disappoint in any way.  Sadly, I can’t really divulge too much info to you this early!  That’s the problem with reading a book six months before publication.  What I can tell you is that it was so well written with amazing characters and a killer story line.  It’s one you’re going to want to add to your TBR pile for sure.

It’s also the beginning of a new month!  Here are all the book mail goodies I received  in September.  My shelves are getting full!

I also have two new lovelies from Net Galley.

September wasn’t a huge reading month for me.  I’m looking forward to buckling down in the nice weather and enjoying the many (many, many) titles waiting on my bookshelf.  Fall is great reading weather!

Happy Monday!
