What’s Going On…
Hey guys, I’ve got a fun post for you today! Halloween is fast approaching so how could I not do a spooky post?! The original creator of this tag is Naomi The Book Lover and I know it is a few years old but I don’t care it is a great tag!
Carving pumpkins- what book would you carve up and light on fire?
This was a harder question to answer than I thought! I have a very few books on my DNF pile so I picked a recent book that I actually finished but hated. For me this story started out with a decent premise but it just never went anywhere. There were a few threads that just fell off the map during the story. Plus – animal torture – ’nuff said about that. This was totally a book I wish I hadn’t thrown away hours of my life on.
Trick or treat- what character is a treat, what character is a trick?
Treat: Eliza Lucas from The Indigo Girl. Her character was so strong and amazing and she was a real person!
Trick: Amy Dunne from Gone Girl – because, well, hello!!
Candy Corn- what book is always sweet?
There are plenty of great “cat books” out there but this one jumped to my mind first. Gwen Cooper did such a great job writing this and Homer is just an amazing feline. If you can read this and not love it then, well, I don’t know what that says about you.
Ghosts- what character would you love to visit you as a ghost?
Dewey the library cat! Who wouldn’t want to spend time with a lovably boy like Dewey?
Dressing up in costume- what character would you want to be for a day?
Daisy for sure. Yeah I know she was kinda dumb but I love that era and the costume would be so glamorous.
Wizards and witches- what is your favorite Harry Potter moment?
So here’s where the jaws all drop – I have never read a Harry Potter book nor seen a Harry Potter movie!
Blood and gore- what book was so creepy that you had to take a break from it for awhile?
None really! I read lots of mystery/thriller books. I don’t read horror, but I think I’m pretty thick skinned so none of the books I read really creep me out to a point I have to put them down. Maybe I should up my game a bit? But for the sake of the post I’ll say Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. I can see how some of Karin’s books could have that effect on people!
I tag Patty over at Books, Thoughts and Adventures!
Anyone else who wants to spread that Halloween cheer, please feel free to do this post! Leave your link in the comments, I would love to see your answers.
Happy Halloween Reading!
Heeheehee…now I get to try this over on my WP which is haunted lately! I just can’t believe your Harry Potter aversion!
